How to Replace a Striker (keyless or key lockable)

Note: Do not remove the existing backing plate.

Required Tools: 1 Phillips Head Screwdriver

  1. Open the gate.
  2. Turn the adjustment screw anti-clockwise until the striker slides off the backing plate. Do not remove the existing backing plate.
  3. Insert replacement striker into the same position on the backing plate and slowly turn the adjustment screw clockwise until it is in the correct position. Please note: The adjustment screw is designed not to come out of the body of the striker.
  4. Adjust the striker clearance by turning the adjustment screw clockwise as necessary. Open and close the gate a couple of times to check striker position making minor adjustments as required for smooth gate latching.
